If so, feel free to post here your impressions, and share some of your creations as well. I hope that some of you will who have and play Super Mario Maker 2 will take the time to check out one or more of my levels. Having created 19 levels ( *at time this was originally posted*), 2 of which received a surprising (for me) amount of plays, I thought I'd share my creations with the VGChartz community that I have been a part of for several years. My Switch Activity list confirms that I have spent over 285 hours ( *at time this was originally posted*) creating levels and playing those of others in addition to the Story Mode and Ninji Speedruns. In any event, I have spent an inordinate amount of time playing the game since picking it up when it came out (although I didn't get heavily pre-occupied with crafting my own levels until September). I didn't see one after sifting through about a dozen pages of the search topics, although I wouldn't be surprised if there was one somewhere from back when the game released last June. NES Modders Fix The "Sin" Committed By Nintendo 39 Years Ago "I would love to push this to a lower 5:02.6xx in the future since there are 3 easy frames to save in first room." Niftski feels that a 5:02.5xx time is possible, but only if he can master a difficult acceleration trick multiple times through the game's final level. "I do not plan on just stopping here," Niftski explains. Niftski's latest record is just 12 frames away from the time achieved in the TAS glitchless run – which means he's touching distance away from the 'perfect' run.Īmazingly, he's far from finished. Speedrunners often perform Tool-Assisted Speedruns (TAS) to see what the theoretical ceiling is for any given run – as the name suggests, these runs are aided by tools which get as close as possible to the 'perfect' run. This is all pretty cool in itself, but what makes this run even more impressive is that it's agonisingly close to reaching machine-level perfection. Niftski has held the world record in particular this category since 2022, with his previous best time being 5:02:785.
